4Drive NZ (4drive.nz) is an independent car rental comparison service. We do not own or operate a rental fleet. Our site lets you search live offers from trusted Kiwi and international suppliers across New Zealand, compare prices, ratings and conditions, and then continue to complete your booking on the relevant supplier's platform. This policy covers the information collected on 4drive.nz itself - it does not cover the separate privacy practices of the supplier or booking platform you are transferred to, which are governed by their own policies shown at the time of booking.
Pickup and drop-off locations, dates, driver age and any filters you apply when you use the search widget to compare offers.
Name and email address if you contact us directly, subscribe to updates, or leave a review on the site.

We never collect card numbers or process payments ourselves - all payment happens on the supplier's own platform once you leave 4drive.nz.
When you search, your query is passed to our comparison engine so it can return live prices and availability from suppliers - it does not share more than needed to complete that search.
We use the information above to run the search and comparison functions on 4drive.nz, to respond to questions sent through our contact form, to improve the accuracy and speed of the site, and to understand which locations and topics visitors find most useful (for example, whether more people are comparing Auckland Airport pickups or Queenstown ski-season rentals). We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to set or guarantee prices - all prices shown are live quotes from suppliers at the time of your search.
When you choose an offer and continue to book, the details you entered in the search widget (dates, locations, driver age) are shared with the relevant supplier's booking platform so your reservation can be created. We otherwise share information only with service providers who help us run 4drive.nz (such as hosting and analytics providers), and only to the extent needed for them to perform that service, or where required by law.
